5 Day Footsteps of Elephant Whisperer

5 Day In the Footsteps of the Elephant Whisperer

Safari Tour

Reference: SIEW5

DESCRIPTION

This safari will take you to the home of the world renowned conservationist Lawrence Anthony, who was asked in 1999 to accept a troubled herd of elephants. We follow the famous herd of elephants, other wildlife and the different landmarks on the reserve where Lawrence and his wife Francoise, with extraordinary perseverance and sometimes dangerous encounters, have gained the trust of the elephants. Lawrence sadly died of a heart attack on 2 March 2012. With this tour we pay tribute to a truly dedicated conservationist and the work he did, which his wife continues on the Thula Thula Game Reserve. Proceeds from this tour will be donated to the South African Conservation Fund.
